Before and 4 months after complete hairline excision with hairline advancement to repair significant scarring from multiple prior hair transplants performed elsewhere. In this procedure—an alternative to FUE removal in cases where the scalp or forehead skin is severely scarred—the entire hairline skin, along with all poorly performed grafts, is excised. The removed grafts can then be dissected and replanted into other areas of the scalp, most commonly into donor-site scars. This is a heroic procedure, but it can yield dramatic improvement.
